Granola

Granola – you can do it! It is so simple! You can choose when shopping for ingredients to make
this easy recipe organic, or not! It is easy to put your own signature on this granola by using ingredients you like best! Have you ever tried warming up your milk before adding
granola for a warm, delicious, breakfast? Granola is good anytime, for breakfast, stirred in yogurt, sprinkled on ice cream or fresh fruit, even as an on-the-go-snack!

6 cups rolled oats

3 cups wheat germ

2 cups oat bran

1 1/2 cup unsalted nuts of your choice, broken into pieces if large.

1 cup shelled, sunflower seeds

1 1/2 cup dried fruit, such as cranberries, raisins, or whatever you like!

1/2 cup malt powder

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup honey, or maple syrup. A combination of the two works!

1 cup canola oil or peanut oil

On large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, mix all the dry ingredients and cinnamon.
In small bowl mix liquid ingredients and drizzle over dry mixture to coat evenly.
Bake at 325 degrees or 20 minutes. Stir well, bake additional 15 minutes.  Cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
