Often a quick lunch, whether on your plate or in your brown bag, includes a sandwich which usually means lunchmeat for many people.  Lunchmeat hasn’t made its way into my grocery cart for years. Not since I became aware of harmful antibiotics and nitrates in many processed meats, along with tons of sodium and unhealthy fats, and high-calories fillers have I allowed anyone to eat lunchmeat while under my roof.  In walks lean, delicious, smoked turkey.  In food co-ops, as well as the health market section of your grocery store you might be surprised what is in the meat case these days.  I have found a wide variety of  ready to eat turkey that is healthy, and yes, delicious.  It is low sodium, fat-free, antiboitic and nitrate free, and is from free-range birds.  It has good protein and is low calorie. It tastes like slices of leftover Thanksgiving turkey.  This is one ready-made convenience food that you can indulge in without guilt.  Try it.  Enjoy a sandwich or wrap with healthy turkey.  You will be glad you did.
