Over the years I have found many favorite ingredients and tools I like to use when preparing food. Some items in my pantry are essential to my cooking and my food creativity. I have come to depend on them being in my pantry. Boxes of stock, bags of grains, dried mushrooms, bottles of delicous oils and vermouth, all help make some of my recipe inventions and adaptations possilbe. This is especially true as often a food idea will just come to me and I will want to try it out right then, not after a trip to the market. Equally important are my kitchen tools. Some tools make cooking easier. Some, at least in my mind, make it entirely possible and could not be accomplished without.
